Nashville truly is the place to be! The end of October and beginning of November are the best times to visit this lively city, as the weather has begun to cool and the leaves are a beautiful array of oranges and reds. Around this time of year, the texts asking about the top things to do in Nashville start to roll in. There are one of two ways to take Music City head on: the local way or the tourist way. In this post, we will cover all the things to do as a local!
What better way to start your morning than with a cup of coffee in your hand? The cutest and most delicious coffee shops sprinkle 12th Avenue, whether it’s Portland Brew, White Bison, or Frothy Monkey. In the mood for a yummy breakfast? Check out Sun & Fork or Maple Street Biscuit Company. How about a sweet treat? Then you must visit Five Daughters Bakery located right off of 12th Ave. Proper Bagel is a must-visit too, they offers almost everything and it is always made to perfection!
Now that you are ready to take on the day with a full stomach and some caffeine in your system, let’s do some shopping and exploring! 21st Ave has a mixture of local boutiques and well-known brands to meet any shopaholic’s desires. The Gulch is another great area to get your steps in while you window shop! Centennial Park is also a great option if you are looking to get your legs moving with a relaxing stroll.
Some amazing lunch options include 615 Deli, SATCO, Taqueria del Sol, Jack Brown’s, and The Goat. Urban Grub, Carne Mare, Eastern Peak, and Barcelona Wine Bar are some of my favorite dinner choices. Ready to the end the night with some dessert? The Baked Bear, NoBaked, and Jeni’s are the dream for anyone with a sweet tooth.
Or maybe your night is just getting started? Station Inn and Marathon Music Works are amazing locations for a more intimate approach to live music. You never know what famous people you are going to bump into on a random weekday. My friends and I happened to stumble into a Dierks Bentley performance at Station Inn just the other day! Old Glory, L.A. Jackson, and Printer’s Alley are fun options if you are looking for more of a music-drink-social vibe!
You have to catch a Preds or Titans game if you are in town, too! This activity falls more in the tourist category, but the environment at these games is electrifying. The fan base here is unmatched!
Nashville is the perfect place, no matter if you are moving here or just passing through. The city is as big or as small as you want it to be, and the opportunities for all the things fun are endless! Whether you are spending your time here as a tourist or a local, you can’t simply can’t go wrong!
